National Breakfast Month: This Classic American Breakfast Can Help You Gain Muscle

Today, we’ll focus on something more specific. A breakfast that is not only healthy, but also high in protein that can be paired with one of our deliciously delectable Viiva shakes.

The classic American breakfast: Bacon and Eggs!

Okay, let’s get started…


3 eggs (18g of protein)

4 slices of bacon (12g of protein)


Heat up a pan on medium high. Fry the bacon until they reach your desired crispiness and put on a plate. 

On a different pan (avoid the leftover bacon grease), start heating up on medium high with butter. Here you can prepare your eggs any way you like, sunny side up, scrambled, over easy, etc. 

For scrambled, crack your eggs into a bowl and whisk them until you get a nice and smooth yellow texture. Add salt and pepper to preference (some people prefer to do this after they cook because the salt breaks down liquid and changes the flavor.)

Pour them into the pan and lower the heat. Wait until the edges become slightly darker and run your cooking spatula from the outside in, pushing the edges toward the middle of the pan. Add a little bit of extra butter to get that smooth, delicious texture. 

And that’s it! Serve your bacon and eggs on a plate next to a tasty, chocolate Viiva shake and you’re good to go. And in less than 20 minutes of prep time you’ll get 30+ grams of healthy protein.You can replace bacon with turkey bacon and use egg whites instead of whole eggs for a healthier alternative. The amazing thing about this classic breakfast is that you can always make adjustments and the flavor doesn’t change much.
